Overview

Kolorz is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app operates entirely on your local device and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.

Data Collection

We do not collect any data. Specifically:

No personal information is collected
No usage analytics or tracking
No crash reports sent to developers
No network connections except for App Store purchase validation

Local Data

Kolorz stores the following data locally on your Mac:

User preferences (pin-on-top toggle state)
Window positions for the main window and the system color panel
The system color panel’s saved swatches grid (managed by macOS)

This data never leaves your device and is stored using macOS standard preferences and local file storage.

Clipboard Access

Kolorz writes to your clipboard only when you explicitly request it — by clicking a copy icon, using a copy keyboard shortcut, or dragging the color preview to another app. Kolorz does not read your clipboard automatically; the only time the app reads clipboard contents is when you paste a value into a format field yourself and press Return.

Screen Access

Kolorz uses Apple’s built-in NSColorPanel for color picking. The system magnifier loupe samples a single pixel from your screen only while you actively click the eyedropper. No screen content is captured, recorded, or transmitted.

In-App Purchases

If optional donations or in-app purchases are added in a future version, they will be processed entirely by Apple’s App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information.

Third-Party Services

Kolorz does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
