About

Kolorz is the simplest way to pick a color on macOS and copy it in the format you actually need. It uses Apple's built-in color picker — the same one you already know from Pages, Keynote, and Preview — and adds the things it has always been missing: every color value ready to copy, a global eyedropper shortcut, recent color history, and launch at login. Kolorz is pure SwiftUI and AppKit, runs fully sandboxed on Mac, and does not collect any data. Your colors never leave your Mac.

Quick Start

  1. Open — Launch Kolorz from the Dock, or press ⌥⌘C from any app.
  2. Pick — Press ⌥⌘C or click Pick Color, sample a pixel, and the color panel opens with your pick (or use the system picker above).
  3. Copy — Tap the color square for HEX, or use the copy button on any row.
  4. Reuse — Click a Recent swatch to recall it, or drag colors into Swatches or other apps.

The global shortcut works whenever Kolorz is running. Enable Launch at login in Settings to keep it available.
