Simple Summary: Coltons does not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal information with us or third parties. Your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud account.

Information Collection and Use

Coltons is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect any personal information from users of the app.

Data Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud account:

Receipt images and PDFs you capture
Expense reports and report metadata (dates, categories, amounts, job/truck numbers, payment method)
Employee profile information you enter (company name, employee name, employee number, job number, truck number, company email)
Onboarding and app preference flags

This data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework with iCloud/CloudKit sync to your own private iCloud container. Employee profile information is also synced across your devices via Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store. None of this data is accessible to us or any third parties.

Camera Access

Coltons requests camera access to scan and photograph receipts. Camera images are processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework for document detection and text recognition. No images or recognized text are transmitted to any server.

No Analytics or Tracking

Coltons does not use:

Analytics services
Crash reporting tools
Advertising networks
Tracking technologies
Third-party SDKs that collect data

No Account Required

Coltons does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal information to use the app.

Children's Privacy

Because we do not collect any information, our app is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13.

Data Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and synced only to your private iCloud account via Apple's encrypted infrastructure. No data is transmitted to our servers because we do not operate any servers.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

Access: All your receipts, reports, and profile information are stored locally and in your private iCloud — never shared with us
Deletion: Delete the app to remove all local data; manage iCloud data through your device's iCloud settings
Control: You can edit or remove any receipt, report, or profile information within the app at any time

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new policy on this page with an updated effective date.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected. For Coltons: No personal information is collected, sold, or shared.
